Family Constellations is a therapeutic approach designed to help reveal the hidden dynamics in a family, system or relationship.
This alternative approach supports viewing the concern from a different perspective utilizing representations for the different people or elements involved in the issue.
In the group, participants or objects represent people, emotions, ties, contracts, loyalties or parts of the client’s system.
Seeing patterns and relationships between the parts of the system often helps to gain insight into challenges that are experienced today.
What gets revealed can be connected to:
~ the beliefs that their family may have held onto for generations in order to survive . . .
~ a family’s rules around belonging . . .
~ a family’s trauma history and identity . . .
~ significant events or people that have shaped sense of self, feelings, emotions and interpretations of past and present experiences . . .
~ rules around what can be shown or seen . . .
and much more.

Family constellation work can be so magical in the ways that what someone struggles with on a regular basis can be represented through the support of others in a way that brings perspective and clarity.
